Flax seed oil is made from cold pressed cold pressed organic cotton and linenseed oils. The resulting oils are of high quality with a mild flavour due to the presence of essential fatty acids. Because the plant oils are extracts, they undergo no heat en route to the press and hence the oils produced are of a mild flavour.

The non-diacetyl isomeric fatty acid is present in seed treatment for loss of sweetness. The fruit itself supplies baby with the daily need of DHA and this is what is mainly eaten by the baby. For adults, the diet can be supplemented with flax seed oil (containing EPA) to obtain EPA and EPAA along with biotin that is lost fromSweets and other edible products.

Cotton-like Flaxseed Oil

The crops of linseed, barley, and wheat, along with flax, are also produced and used as animal feed. The flax seed oil particularly ‘Linseed Oil’ is marketed and used in baby food and supplements. However, the FDA ban all animal products from children’s diet, therefore the supplements and baby food must be fortified with vitamin D.

Cotton-like Starch

The main ingredient of linen, cotton-like starch is most often derived from plants. The functional value of linen is, among other things, to protect againsteworms invasion, protect against fungal infection, and provide some protection against chemical pesticides. Like most natural organic products, its main source is linen fibres but unlike natural organic cotton, its production is highly dependent on agricultural chemicals and little or no farming is involved.

Fats

The main fat contained in most animal products is saturated. This is generally because the fat is present in the liver and the muscle. Olive and canola oils are saturated fats considered healthy. They are also the most stable organic oils, stable to a certain extent, because they contain a number of essential fatty acids (omega-6 fatty acids). The omega-3s in Linseed Oil are much more numerous and better studied.

Liquorice

It is also considered a sweet. Liquorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) comes from the roots of the plant camellia sinensis and is normally made into a extract, but it is also consumed as a sweetener. The sweetest Liquorice is actually the pure juice, not the processed product.

Nourishing Bacteria

Several foods have been found to benefit from the work of the friendly bacteria. These bacteria promote a healthy soil and a healthy environment. They help crops to be properly protected from pests and also help protect ourselves from deadly diseases such as Avian Influenza.

Stick packs provide additional protection for our foods and find it very useful in our everyday cooking.

Of course we have many other uses for this amazing and durable food storage container. Perhaps we can make available it as a means of saving space in and kitchen cupboard. Or perhaps we may one day look at it with new respect as it continues to age.
