Nutrition – 5 Reasons Why The Foods You Are Eating Are Making You Sick

 Jennifer Pallian

Eating traditionally made foods, which are highly processed in many cases, has many drawbacks. As they processes the foods and removes the nutrients, the body becomes mineral and vitamin deficient. As the processing remove the fibre, the food is quickly absorbed into the blood stream where it is pathogens and then putrefied. The undigested foods then create toxins within the body that cannot be eliminated and this build up isromote the growth of Candida and other yeast like fungi in the body.

Foods that are processed are usually stripped of fibre and cell structure, the cell wall, and even the nutritional value of the foods. The body becomes an Adaline machine, overworked, with limited capacity to deal with the high levels of toxins, as the undigested foods release their toxins into the system.

There are five main reasons why a person should supplement with fibre and avoid certain foods:

1. Avoid as many as possible foods with white sugar and flour. They take longer to digest than table sugar and become as a result, increases blood sugar levels. This results in the need for the pancreas to excrete insulin into the blood stream to keep the blood sugar at a normal level.inthe body makes a protein called humans who are able to handle the toxins, but as the amounts of the protein that remain are limited, due to the fact that the toxins are still present, the risk of the pancreas overworking is greater.

2. Processed foods are always deficient in micro nutrients. They contain little micro nutrients as a result of the cooking process, also due to time, as many of the foods lose their nutrients when cooked.

3. As discussed above, most of the available micro nutrients are lost when we cook certain foods. In addition, when food is processed, such as to make packaged goods, this again makes the body susceptible to the toxic effects of the foods.

4. Some processed foods have been found to contain high levels of pathogens and toxins such as caffeine, food colouring, MSG (Mono Sodium Glutamate), nitrites and others.

5. As discussed above, the body’s ability to eliminate wastes and toxins is greatly reduced during periods of stress. Processed foods increase the amount of waste created within the body for elimination, this creates problems as over time the body builds up toxins and illness.

During periods of high stress, exercise is recommended as part of the relaxation response. The relaxation response helps to control the inflammatory responses that are associated with high stress.

Good choices of antioxidant foods during stressful situations are, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Beta-carotene, Selenium and others.

Reduce levels of toxic chemicals in your body through filtration, better drinking water, increasing green areas in your diet and casein free products. Increase fruit and vegetable intake to get needed vitamins and minerals.

Increase amounts of rest and sleep between each meal. Also reduce the amount of socialising you do each day.

Have fun and enjoy each other’s company.

Avoid alcohol and drugs as they have been found to increase inflammation and therefore slow down the healing process.

Start an exercise program. The general idea is to get fit and healthy, not just to lose weight. If you are overweight, then you are therefore limiting your life expectancy.

White sugar can be disguised as high fructose corn syrup or even Stevia. Be aware of the hidden sugars; you will be amazed at how many of the sweets we take for granted are high in HFCS or sugar.

Don’t take the supplement for a couple of weeks or months until after the honey moon. Remember that if you start too early then you are more likely to quit.

Bee pollen is a great supplement as it contains vitamins and minerals, but be careful it has been found to contain high levels of toxins. You can get small amounts of bee pollen from health food stores.

sea vegetables are also high in antioxidant levels, kelp, dulse, kombu and wakame are amongst the most nutritious and healthful sea vegetables.

Sea salt is also a great choice for adding flavour to food as it contains trace minerals and sodium. Salt is alsoGenerally Recognized as Safe(RSA).
